Pros: Small, Comfy even to sleep with, Durable cable, IF u don-t like tips are changeble, Loads of extra stuff
Cons: The cable gives bit of microphonic, if buts set right, all goes well
I used to own MEElecs. George Carlin said that he never was fine and dandy in same moment.
I was.
Now, I am sad to say that I was so careless to lose them in worst possible scenario. They were not in their pouch, in my backpack, but alone. In my pants pocket. With foolish illusion of safety. One moment they were in my jeans, next one they weren't, how- three months later I still wonder... around my room and same road i walk that day hoping I'll find that misfortunate bundle of joy.
CW 31, they were. Got 'em at special price discount directly from MEElec's customer service. My hat to you people, you took my breath away and swiped me from my feet at same time. Yes, you gave me about  50% off-price because of my circumstances, but your product is great as you people are. So, when I ordered 'em, it wasn't having euphoria just because of I was to get best thing in the world I can afford for my money , but I met people that actually helped me.
The moment I got 'em, I was so nervous I could... Well see for yourself:
First month I was bit sceptic. Sound wasn’t as good as reviews were telling. Mids were reserved, bass was not as defined as I wanted, but I wasn’t moaning or bitching- clarence was good and sound stage was really good. They did need a decent burn-in.
And then, I begun to hear my music. James LaBrie was never so compelling, Portnoy never so majestic,  and Petrucci differ himself from all the magic Rudess creted.
Nat King Cole, Nora Jones, Incognito, Miles Davis, All that jazz... My God!
I still remember. Nina Simone took me and sat me on chair with my back to the brick wall of jazz club, and begun. Piano sounds reflected off the wall to me, the smooth drums in front, the base, somewhere around, traveling,  seeking me, teasing. Nina onto the right, on the stage, with that smile of heres.
Oh, the Joy.
Oh, the Happiness.
So, this is what I missed.
Songs I once thought I knew showed volume, but not loudness, sounds painted colours I never knew existed, space gave meaning and took no prisoners. They, CW31's,  took the pointless basse away and gave meaning to all.
Those thoughts kept me on smiling. Yes, I smiled.
And now? I don't listen to music. Now I love silence. Quiet is my companion, for she provides me an option to remember the greatness, the size, the magnitude. To lose my hearing abilities to few poor sounds, the sin it would be.
Farewell, my friend. I stop the search.
This, today, is my last goodbye.
I have a pair. Against the Klipsch S4's they're more fun but lack the treble of "complete" IEMs
Pros: 1) Strong and low microphonic cable 2) Nice improved case 3) Comfortable for long sessions 4) Intro to neutrality at a Very good price
Cons: 1) Mediocre Isolation
MEElectronics does one thing better than almost any other headphone manufacturer, they always pack a ton of value into an affordable price. CW31's not any different.
Meelectronics describes CW31 as "Clarity Series In-Ear Headphones Crafted for audio perfection, the CW31's wooden housing resonates with the music, giving a natural touch to the clean and clear sound, while the small size and light weight allow for easy insertion and long-lasting comfort", these earphones are designed to be a relatively inexpensive choice for users who are accustomed to clearer more analytical sound signatures
Specifications :
Driver: 9.0 mm dynamic drivers
Housing: Wooden housing with angled nozzle
Frequency Response: 20Hz – 20KHz
Sensitivity: 99 dB
Impedance: 16 ohms
Maximum Power Input: 30 mW
Connector: 3 pin stereo 3.5mm gold plated 45° plug
Cable: Designer black 135 cm cable (53 in) with attached shirt clip
Accessories: 1) 5 sets of silicone ear tips (small/medium/large Single Flange, 1 double-flange, small triple-flange)
2)Round zipper hard nylon case
Packaging : CW-31 ships in a rectangular plastic box, the earphones and the case are resting inside a tray. The new case provided is slightly thicker than the clamshell case that comes with M series earphones. The case is solid black except for the glaring purple zipper which might be an eyesore to some.
Build Quality :  The CW31 housings are made of wood and plastic which are sturdy. Strain reliefs are made of hard rubber and ends with a lower-profile 45-degree plug. The earphones feature two vents, one at the rear of the housings and one, very tiny vent next to the nozzles with the nozzles being oval shaped
Cable: The cable is the typical gray MEElectronics cable. It is strong and low on microphonics
Microphonics: None unless you really really try. Excellent cable.
Comfort: These IEMs are very comfortable to wear, being an oval shaped insertion design that allows these to pretty much disappear in ones ears. Deep insertion levels as well as wearing them over the ear are not possible due to the oval shape.
Isolation: Isolation is average since deep insertion is not possible, but the included Double Flange/Triple flange improves it a bit.
Sound Quality:
Burn-in: Its been burned to 100+ hours before the evaluation.
Amped / unamped: Not much of a difference, these are drived easily by even low power sources
Signature :  The sound signature is mostly neutral in character and frequency response or in short analytical
Lows: It isnt bass heavy as its basically neutral, but it still packs a decent amount of bass enough to be enjoyable for most music
Mids: The midrange is nice and smooth, very slightly forward and linear with superior detail.
Highs: It has pleasant harshness and treble response, is similarly linear and rolls off gradually as you approach the top end.
Soundstage: Sound stage is average but slightly better than M series IEM's
Final Conclusion : Meelectronics CW31 comes at 39.99$ which is great for a balanced IEM's with a good touch of neutrality and a bang-for-buck indeed. I rate CW31 as a great IEM in meelectronics series above all M series IEM's and below Balanced armatures A151 and A161P in SQ. They outclass many contestants in its range and undoubtably one of the best balanced IEM's around 50$. CW31 is for those who want to experience clarity, detailing and neutrality at a affordable price.
Pros: Nice bass, smooth sound, accessories
Cons: Lack of treble
Packaging - MEElectronics doesn't skimp on extras. Nice compact pouch, SML tips, pair of bi AND tri flanges, as well as a shirt clip.
Build - Wooden housing looks like it will last. The cable has a plastic tube layer over it which makes it quite durable and quiet.
Comfort - Petite body will cause no fit issues. Isolation is average at best.
Soundstage - By no means large but definitely above average. Music extends a small distance away from your ears.
Lows - They possess a generous amount of bass but it is never overdone. It will rattle in bass heavy songs! Will satisfy all but bassheads.
Mids - No bleed from the accentuated lows but it does cause sound slightly recessed. Very smooth and clean overall if a bit too thick.
Highs - There simply isn't enough treble. Recessed mids and recessed highs equates to unlively vocals. What is here though is very smooth.
Impactful bass and extremely smooth presentation makes it a good buy at $30 street. I found the lack of treble to make CW31s very boring but that's subjective.
