100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Gorgeous shells
Extremely lightweight
A good degree of perceived resolution
Vocal focused sound
Easy to drive
Nice accessories and unboxing experience
Cons: Timbre and Tonality is not to my liking at ALL
Fit is strange for me due to the nozzle angle
Bass is severely lacking in physicality and texture
The treble is too dark and the upper mids are unnaturally boosted
Dynamics are all over the place for my library
Now, I want to preface this entire thing by saying this;

#1. I hate being negative, but at the same time, I have to keep it real here.

#2. While I don’t enjoy these IEMs, I can certainly see...

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Solid built
Ergonomic and light
Textured and clean bass
Good technicalities
Cons: No case or even a pouch for a $100ish USD set!
Not the easiest IEM to drive, due to lowish sensitivity
Below average isolation
Planar timbre
Potentially sibilant and fatiguing in the upper frequencies - not for treble-sensitive peeps

To your ears, is mid-blass bleed related to time (transient speed) or frequency (separation of mids and bass frequencies)? Some mean the latter, and in that case, the P1 Max II is definitely a mid-bass bleeding set.

Hi @MidnightSun , I would say it is probably both factors combined.

I find planar drivers (like in the P1 Max II) are usually more speedy than DD bass for example, and we also have to factor in the rest of the frequency response (not just the bass in isolation, but how it relates to the mids and treble). One also has to factor in hearing health, volume played at (Fletcher Munson curve), ear anatomy with eartips etc.

Nothing beats putting the IEM in the ears to have a listen, rather than just looking at a graph.

Pros: + Good design and material of the IEM

Thank you to Mr. Harmoko Lie for lending these IEMs to me for an honest review, listening with my own ears, language, and typing.

New Head-Fier
Pros: 1. Great build quality

2. Great price, specially if you get it for under $40

3. The bass boost button is a nice addition

4. Volume wheel is a nice addition
Cons: 1. What dac it uses is not specified (nitpick)

2. Probably the biggest reason i have given it a low star is because of this. The noise floor is quite high. Although this could be an issue with my unit, so i highly suggest buying from somewhere where the return policy is good, like amazon etc. If its a good product then this is easily a 4 star product.

This review is totally wrong. I'm afraid you confused the headphones sound with your personal taste.
Fuelbass

Kwsizer maybe you like this headphone soo much that you doesn't want anyone to say something negative about your choice even if it's true. This headphone have Pro in it's name and it's far from it. If someone knows how to read frequently chart which you probably didn't, they'll know how far it is from being neutral. I've better reference headphones in my collection and it's far from them.

It's rather silly to judge and then slam a hp only because they have the "pro" word in their name. Deal with it.

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: - Technical performance is very good, with a punchy and tight bass, great detail retrieval, energetic female vocals and nice instrument separation
- The driver config is interesting and the planar driver is capable, and this can be tested with some easy EQ; KZ shows they are able to compete and set standards
- Very good design and well built earpieces
Cons: - The scaling of the two drivers is inconsistent and alters the overall signature when the volume increases
- The excessively bright treble and the lower midrange dip lead to frequent sibilance and unnatural vocals
- Short nozzle and big shell isn’t a great combination
- Lackluster package with few tips and an improvable stock cable
- High product turnover in KZ and CCA product portfolio and aggressive marketing on the various models leads to confusion and fast obsolescence of their products; KZ/CCA should instead should focus on refining and improving the practical realization of their great ideas and promoting them in a smarter way

Introduction

KZ has landed with their first IEM featuring a Planar/DD hybrid configuration called “Symphony”. This comes after many different planar IEMs (PR1, PR1 Pro, PR2 x...

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: - The best Bluetooth has ever sounded.
- Zero latency.
- Fancy case with USB C. Charges quick and battery lasts a while.
- Comes with 2 pin and MMCX ear hooks.
- Codec compatibility is great and automatically will connect with the best Bluetooth codec for your device.
Cons: - The GAIA app is absolutely laughable and not functional in the least.
- Loves to disconnect when they're out of your ears for 30 seconds or more, and then takes minutes to reconnect.
- Constant issues trying to get them to connect. I spend five minutes every time trying to get them to pair back with my iPhone.
- Not extremely comfortable, ear hooks a bit tight.
- Horrible physical controls that are not intuitive.
- Case gets scratched easily and is very large.
- Little-to-no water resistance and tends to have issues staying connected while exercising.
- Needs transparency mode.
- Exorbitant price for what it is.
Sometimes you want high end sound with no wires. I recently bought a set of Monarch MKIII as a rash decision at a local Can Jam, but realized that splitting time between them and my Empire Ears...

I do appreciate you taking the time to review our product, whether it is supportive or critical. We are aware of product quality issues that may develop, whether at the factory of manufacture, or during transport and storage before and during sale (e.g. extreme temperatures in transport and storage, a growing concern in this day and age, can damage products that were pristine out of the factory), and are always working to maximize reliability in every way we can.

@Joe Bloggs I am well aware of various technical scenarios, I'm an Electrical Engineer with credentialed work and projects. My review is ample enough to translate to do not purchase, I have several friends and met various users who report similar issues. I simply cannot recommend something I've had a bad experience with, would you? We live in a society where convenience is at the forefront. I refuse to buy another unit that may have inconvenience my day, by having to ship it back UPS, whether if I got a refund or not. I have better usage of time, and that is investing/researching into another product that better fits the bill.

Secondly, I have nothing against Hiby, I've heard nothing but good in relation to products offered. It seems to be a brand with good technical expertise, and various recognition with different items. Whether I am sounding critical, too harsh, blunt, upfront, may be deemed by the opinion of X user reading my review. Thanks for responding, and giving your just reasoning of the words I've listed. I just ask this product checks all the boxes before being pushed and marketed to the consumer market. I understand forces that aren't as controllable, but I wish this product success.

Grrrrrrrrrrr, I literally just went to try an updated firrmware downgrade if that makes sense. After a completely full charge I open the case and notta, all power depleted, the left bud still have no operable use as far as I can tell. I’m about ready to throw these things out

IFI…PLEASE GET YOUR POOP STRAIGHT! I’m embarrassed for you! THIS OR advertise accordingly and stop misleading people. Who likes wires? if portable use to you means sitting in an arid part of the word on a cosier all day then I suppose you nailed it!

You may need to start a claim and have them send you a new set. I downloaded thr latest gaia from the website, disconnected the go pods, and after several tries, was able to connect both and roll back the firmware. I spent hours doing it though. Just file the claim on the broken set. If the other set isn't broken, then make sure you download the latest gaia to install, and then download the older firmware from there and your other set should be fine. It's either 1.49 or 1.42.
