My Simple Candid opinion of the CS16
Pros: The product looks fantastic, has an unusual signature for CCA/ KZ fans.. so neutral and detailed.
Cons: Sound may not be for typical CCA lovers, they're on the larger size so little ears be warned.

Packaging is typical and sturdy with simple graphics,
inside you will find 1x Pair of CCA CS16 Earphones,3x Pairs of Silicone eartips, and the manual/ warranty information.
The Cable is the new and much improved CCA cable both KZ and CCA have been using lately .. not too back for stock BUT I was expecting a little better considering this is a FlagShip at over $100 as for the tips I found them to be uncomfortable, too squishy and they leave the end of the nozzle practically sticking out, this could be uncomfortable and irritating for some with sensitive ears. Nothing a tip change can't easily fix but I wanted to note that. They have a ergonomic shape and for my ears they fit snug but comfortable although using Tin hifi foam tips they did stick out too much. I love the look, that silver polished faceplate with the clear back and BAs all showing through totally looks premium .. I get visions of the first time I opened the SE846.

Sound :
Bass:
While I agree with CCA to a point about the fast energetic low frequency it still lacks much of an impact even if its an all BA IEM maybe I've been spoiled as of late by really great single DD IEMs like the NF NM2 but compared to the TRN BA5 AND Dunu SA3 first bass impressions did not impress me at all. It should be noted that for certain music this bass is quite excellent, but Bass boosted pop , rock , hip-hop ect it kind of falls apart quickly with a bunch of distortion and becomes a muddy mess. Any Music like Acoustical, Classical, Vocal or Swing the Bass these are more than good providing a nice amount of natural and energetic performance with details and control.

Mids:
The Midrange is the CS16 forte providing good instrument separation and natural tones. The lower Midrange is centered a little behind the upper that are more forward but it's still in front of the instruments and natural sounding. Vocals sound amazing so lush and pleasant depending on the recording as these IEM can be fickle.

Treble:
Highs present as a detailed but with smooth performance not lacking in extension and crispness depending on music and recording quality and source. I found under most circumstances they had decent control, but the upper Treble can be a little too much at times and others it sounded polite and smoothed over. Like I said this can be fickle in so many ways.

Soundstage and imaging.
The soundstage is medium with the width being more than the depth but still above average with a good and accurate imaging. It sounds natural and reminds me of perhaps a night club or smaller room but defiantly not intimate but far from holographic in nature.

Conclusion:
I personally like the look but honestly these are too complicated for me to enjoy them on a daily use. I however can see these liked so I can't condemn them for being different and unique, perhaps I will grow to like them for those weekend Jazz sessions because they're not bad just not my favorite CCA but perhaps the most uniquely tuned one to this date.
