New Head-Fier
Pros: Price, bass, ipod controlls
Cons: cannot be worn for long periods of time, missing treble
These were the last in-ear headphones I bought before I decided that I just can use them without feeling like my head is in a vice. That being said, these were the most comfortable vice-like in-ears that I found. Klipsch always prices their products very well and these were no exception, the sound quality for a pair of sub $100 headphones is superb. They were very good at isolating sound as is the way of most in-ear headphones since they're pretty much ear plugs. They were more bass heavy than I would have liked when compared to their tweeter response. The ipod controls were very convenient and always worked for me; I don't recall ever using the microphone. Overall, I would recommend these to someone who won't take them jogging and for whatever reason doesn't want a pair of over ear or on ear headphones.

New Head-Fier
Pros: Nice bang for the buck, comfortable, bass response
Cons: light on mids, mic is too far away
I have been using these headphones almost every day for the better part of a year and they have proven to be very reliable. I did have to get them replaced about a week after I bought them for what sounded like a ripped cone in the left ear but no problems since, most likely a fluke since I haven't heard of the problem from anyone else. Bass notes are strong and mids are adequate, highs leave a bit to be desired but they produce an overall accurate sound. They do not, on the other hand, isolate noise very well so unless you listen to your music on the loud side, I would look elsewhere for airplanes and busy subways etc. As far as design goes, they are unobtrusive, lightweight, and easy to look at. The microphone is much too far away rendering it completely useless which makes me wonder why Klipsch didn't just run the cord to one side to move it up. They are very comfortable and I have no problem wearing them for a few hours without any ill-effects. I would recommend these to someone who is looking for an honest pair of headphones that they can wear everyday.

New Head-Fier
Pros: best sounding open airs I've had
Cons: uncomfortable, bulky
I defy anyone to find a better sounding pair of headphones for less than $100. The response of these is absolutely spot on. The dynamic range is almost perfect and they have even frequency response throughout. It's so easy to pick out every instrument in a song played through these, no note hides and nothing is misrepresented. Grado was so close to making the perfect headphone for me that I almost tear up when I think about how much they hurt to use. The way they press on my ears makes wearing them for more than 30 minutes or so an impossibility.. so sad. If they were comfortable, I would even be able to wear them outside despite the fact that I would look like an alien with two antennas coming out of my head.

You can gently (very gently) bend the headband to loosen their grip on your melon. It does help some.

New Head-Fier
Pros: very comfortable
Cons: disproportionate price to quality ratio, ugly, too bass heavy
The only reason I have these headphones is because I got them for free. Having them for a few days now I thought that maybe if I the diaphragm loosen up they would get better.. no such luck. I'm listening to them currently and I feel that they are much to heavy in low frequencies and the mids seem to fade into the background. Highs are strong which is nice but they could do with much more accurate representation of the audible spectrum. This is what happens when a pair of headphones gets a celebrity endorsement. They fill them with bass for people who think that's what hi-fi is and charge an exorbitant amount of money for them. They are one of the more ugly sets of cans I have had the displeasure of seeing in a long while but hey, that's just one man's opinion; some people say they're nice looking. The only thing these headphones exceed in, in my opinion, is that they are very comfortable as is the way with most Sonys; although, I do wish they were a bit lighter since they feel like most of the weight is on my actual ear and not the top of my head. All in all, I would not recommend buying these but if you can get them for less than 150 and don't mind how hideous they are then go for it. Of course for less than 150 whats wrong with a pair of Grado SR80i's?

*update*
Less than one week into using these, the iPod compatible cord that came with it started to distort horribly when you change songs from the home screen unless you pull the cord out and plug back in. Also it will automatically pause your music if you open the internet browser. Way to go Sony.

These are my favorite cans for electric and hip-hop music. The sound stage is very large especially when amped. They dont sound fantastic without some power, so running them on an ipod or phone they wont wow you . They can hold really hold that 3000mw they claim ive put it on them. They are well paired with the FIIO e12 amp. You cant expect to run a set of seinnhouser 650hds off a ipod alone .
