In traditional Japanese culture, ``Narukami'' means ``Raijin,'' the god of thunder, or the sound of thunder, which can be said to be a manifestation of the power of nature. The appearance of ``Narukami'' is worshiped by people as a symbol of respect for nature, and at Japanese festivals and traditional plays, the sound of thunder and thunder is expressed by beating drums. Due to this historical background, many things related to music have appeared under the name "Narukami", expressing sound and vitality, as well as showing people's passion and pursuit of music.

Headphone amplifier/preamplifier ``HPA-KG NARU'', which bears the name ``Narukami'', uses the acoustic technology and carefully selected custom parts that Audio-Technica has accumulated over the 60 years since its founding to enhance the detail and depth of sound. It can feel real. Enjoy the joy of music through a delicate and natural listening experience.

rare and valuable wood

In order to show that Audio-Technica is a Japanese brand, we went through a lot of trial and error when selecting materials during product development. We decided to use this rare and valuable wood, believing that black persimmons were the perfect thing to embody the mystery of nature and Japanese craftsmanship.

Circuit Design

The voltage amplification stage utilizes the SRPP circuit with ECC83S tubes, while the current amplification stage employs TA-300B tubes to drive the LL2765AgAM output transformer. The circuit design incorporates the use of the high-quality components available.
These include the input transformer LL1532 and the output transformer LL2765AgAM made with special Amorphous Core and silver wire from Lundahl Transformers. TA-300B vacuum tubes were carefully selected by Takatsuki Electric Industry specifically for headphone amplifiers, premium audio resistors with exceptional heat dissipation properties from Amtrans Corporation, and specially designed power transformer for this unit by Someya Denshi, as well as selected vacuum tubes such as ECC83S-gold and GZ34S from JJ ELECTRONIC.

All input switching and output transformer switching are achieved through sealed relays, ensuring durability and stability. The use of relays also enables the optimization of signal flow for enhanced performance.

The Narukami Headphone Amplifier employs a fully balanced drive design. The four ECC83S tubes in the front stage amplify the signal using a "Shunt Regulated Push-Pull" circuit design known as SRPP, providing strong drive to the four TA-300B tubes in the rear stage.

When using balanced inputs, the signal is directly sent to the left and right balanced circuits. When using line inputs, the signal is converted to a balanced signal through the LL1532 input transformer before being sent to the left and right balanced circuits.
