I'm using the latest drivers and for some reason the volume of my left channel is stuck at 50% the back speaker volume changes it, but not the master volume. This is the 2nd time my left side on the e1c's has gone bad. Within 3 months of replacement even! The left side still works, but it's at about 50% volume.

My chaintech crackles when I listen to piano recordings. It crackles when many notes are played at once, or very loud notes are played. Any ideas why? I'm using waveout as kernelstreaming says "error opening device". I also have 24bit padded to 32bit on.

I was thinking of getting a pair of CD3ks soon and I was wondering if anyone else had a good reccomendation for a good pair under $500. I listen to alot of smooth jazz, electronic, and classical music. I was wondering if there was a better pair for such music types.
