    So, would this work, if the speaker's max output power is 100 watts, and the receiver's max output power per channel is 65 watts, does that mean that the receiver will be able to play the bookshelf speakers at 65 watts maximum? Would this cause any damage???

    Are you sure, because the subwoofer, which is the dayton ht-120, has a builit in amplifier, so should I be able to power the bookshelf speakers. By the way, the bookshelf speakers are the sony SS-B1000's.

    Z2300 balance is off.

    I think he means that there's more bass than the actual music. I experienced this myself, the bass is a little more overpowered than the midtones of the satelites.
