I'm thinking about buying the dayton sub-100, can anyone tell me the pros/cons about it?

I have not heard the sub100 but I had the 80 version before. For the price ($80 when I got mine new), it was okay. There wasn't much impact but it was quite musical for the price.

I recommend you to look for used subs on craigslist and/or ebay as you can often find a quality 12" sub for dirt cheap(around $100) especially on craigslist.

You get much better bang for your buck that way.
