Is there a Blu-ray player that allows you to adjust the audio delay so I can watch with full taps?

TT2 doesn't have bluetooth output right? So I can't connect BT earbuds?

Not sure if this is the right thread. Best midrange bluetooth earbuds for comfort, SQ, features? I need a smooth warm sound and bass heavy. I listen to Google Play music streaming and mostly metal.

I have a Sound BlasterX G6. I'm always looking to upgrade if there's something better. Anything else out now that takes its spot? What about Nahimic?

I got a Creative Sound BlasterX G6 when it first came out and enjoy it especially with being able to bypass the amp. I haven't checked this thread since then however. Is there a consensus on a better surround processing device for competitive sound positioning for console mainly but also PC...

I see. Just to clarify on one point: if video mode is disabled and pass through is on, is there still supposed to be a delay that is greater than 104 mS?

Can someone explain why if I turn off the upscaling with pass through mode, there still is a lip syncing delay? Video mode mitigates this obviously, but if there's no processing being done, shouldn't I have perfect lip sync with or without video mode? I'm suspecting that my passthrough doesn't...

Just going optical out of an Asus Z97-PRO motherboard. Perhaps I should look into a sound card that does 196khz.

I did A/B comparisons going from PC to Mscaler with USB and Optical. Optical was the clear winner, and brought more life out of my Meze Empyreans which I felt the soundstage was distant and a bit boring on USB. So my question is where do I go from here. Do I invest in a quality optical cable...

I can't believe the amount of improvement with an upgrade cable with these cans. I dare say it's a 40-50% improvement.

Guitars are unfortunately pushed back on the Empyreans and feel too distant. I much prefer the Sony Z1R's for metal and rock. The guitars are more forward, in your face, and hit hard which is satisfying.

I'm noticing a way better sound the past two days using TT2 in dac mode connected to Cavalli LAu via xlr. Need to do more testing but it appears my background is more black than ever before and every little subtle detail is more present and articulated with no congestion. I've never experienced...

I did. I mentioned before while I waited on my TT2 order I used the Mscaler with a Schiit Gumby. Oddly I noticed an improvement with the Mscaler in the chain but noticed no difference with any of the upsample settings including bypass. It probably is only going to work well with Chord dacs.

Interesting. I'm listening to Decapitated and Meshuggah right now and the Z1R's are handling the double bass like a champ. Maybe it's gear/cable related?

They sound great with Metal to me. What would be an example of a headphone you consider is geared for Metal? I would not describe the Z1R's as having sloppy bass. Quite the opposite.

I own both the Z1R and Meze Empyreans. Both are phenomenal headphones. I've made some initial observations after owning the Empyreans for over a week listening with the leather pads and a mixture of music but mostly Metal and Rock. If you own the Z1R I wouldn't say run out and get the Empyreans...

Matt made me some 3.5mm female to mini xlr female pigtails to make use of my MK2 cable (originally for Focal Elear/Sony Z1R) for new Meze Empyrean. Also a balanced to single ended adapter. Quality craftsmanship as always.

I'm using my Forza Audioworks Noir HPC MK2 balanced cable. They were originally made for my Focal Elear and Sony Z1R but I got Matt to make me a balanced to single ended adapter and 3.5mm female to mini xlr female pigtails so I can use it with the Empyreans.
