Cayin N30LE DAP: A Transformative Milestone (30th Anniv. Limited Edition)
I injured my ears when listening to Grado RS1 to sleep daily, stopped for 10 years but then fell into this rabbit hole again during covid. Am very blessed still can enjoy this hobby at low volume. AP has one of the lowest pressure on the ear, I can’t use Trailli or IER-Z1R as they put too much...- eatmoreplant

Cayin N30LE DAP: A Transformative Milestone (30th Anniv. Limited Edition)
If you use Tidal, I suggest you try Uapp Pro and turn on bit perfect Yes I tried it: 1.2 Uapp Tidal = 1 (can’t stop listening) 1.2 Tidal via USB dac from Ipad = 2 but has white noise or low hissing sound 1.2 Tidal App = 1.2 Tidal via Hiby Music = 3 1.3 Uapp Tidal = 4 (1st day good, 2nd day...- eatmoreplant

Cayin N30LE DAP: A Transformative Milestone (30th Anniv. Limited Edition)
I am one of the few that say 1.2 is better than 1.3. I have tried upgrade/downgrade 3x to confirm this. I only use Tidal. 1.2 + Tidal on Uapp Pro (bit perfect on) is best. I think those who experience a difference between 1.3 and 1.2 is because they use P mode / Tidal / low volume listening...- eatmoreplant

Does Rockbox support Ipod Radio Remote?
Some people have sweared by the increase in sound quality of using the Radio Remote, especially using IEMs. I am wondering if Rockbox supports the Radio Remote before I load Rockbox into my Ipod. Thanks!- eatmoreplant

westone um2 or Shure E500PTH
I am also having a hard time deciding as there are 50% pro E500, 50% pro UM-2. I have seen some post where ppl are saying about sibilance on UM-2 if listening to poor mp3s such as chinese pop songs (which I do listen to). So where can one get good return policy for Westone & Shure? I know...- eatmoreplant

Recommended headphone for Ipod Out - E500/ GS-1000?
The reason I don't like to use amp is I like portability. I can keep my ipod in my pocket and listen while walking in the house, and walk in the garden at night (so people don't notice my headphone)... But then again, I have people looking at my RS-1 thinking that my grandpa left me those phones...- eatmoreplant

Recommended headphone for Ipod Out - E500/ GS-1000?
Thanks a lot for the comments. Are there any other good cans that drive well unamped from the Ipod? Mercuttio, what other cans have you tried? And how do they compare to the GS-1000?- eatmoreplant

Recommended headphone for Ipod Out - E500/ GS-1000?
Many thanks for the comments, they are very helpful. BUT.... my wallet is burnt with a deeper hole if I am going to get BDGS1... But with your comments, how can I go back to the stock GS-1000? Well, that's "Head-fi"... Can you elaborate more on the sound difference? Thank you!!- eatmoreplant

Recommended headphone for Ipod Out - E500/ GS-1000?
I am looking for a headphone/IEM that Ipod can drive very well without a amp. My RS-1 sounds excellent on the Ipod already but want to upgrade further and is thinking of GS-1000/E500. Are there any better choices? I listen to pop/rock, and love the Grado sound as the bass is just perfect...- eatmoreplant

Grados & Tinnitus
I listened to Grado RS-1 for extended periods, listening to music while falling asleep for weeks. I heard crackling noise (during high impact - bass drum), and thought the amp was broken, went for replacement. The crackling noise remains, and I thought that the manufacturer just return my unit...- eatmoreplant

Ipod/IHP-120/Karma compares with Sony Vintage D-211
Yeah I was crazy to get the better & better equipments, and found out they don't suit the music, and I enjoy the music lesser and lesser as I upgrade. I even tried the Stax Omega II and it sounds very fatigue after a few songs, the tremble squeak like rats. The Koss electrostatic headphones...- eatmoreplant

Ipod/IHP-120/Karma compares with Sony Vintage D-211
I am thinking of getting a nice portable gig... Has anyone compared the best sounding DAP (Ipod, Karma, iHP-120) with vintage PCDP? I am intending to get a UE-5/10 or Sensas as headphones. I do have a Grado RS-1. If budget allows, I may get a SR-71 too. I listen to pop, mostly Asian pop (Korean...- eatmoreplant

pls help me, went ENT-ok, but still hearing loss?
Well so I am not alone. Yeah I think the only way is to get a preamp or something like an amplifier that have dual volume controls. I bought the sennheiser volume control with seperate left and right channel. Also, the most incredible discovery is that Iriver SlimX discman has a balance control...- eatmoreplant

Hi everyone, I am looking to get a portable source. Has anyone been able to try them? Why isn't there a cd player using Sharp's 1-bit amplifier technology for discman? I intend to get one discman and one minidisc player. Let me know what you guys think! Life is enoyable, Eatmorepplant- eatmoreplant
