Would there be any issues using the somewhat hot RCA output of a Holo May (2.9Vrms) with ZMF Aegis?

According to previous answers by @zach915m: "Dimensions are approximately 11.25" L x 14.25" W x 8"H." " It's very very heavy due to the hefty transformers, chokes and Psu, somewhere around 55 lbs I believe."

Another bug for your consideration: Clicking "Buy now" on the info page for the Aegis leads to the purchase page for the Homage, not the Aegis.

Regarding these early demo units that have been sent out, do the users pay to receive the headphones? Or do they pay only if they want to keep them?

You're right, my bad. I do remember though reading this on the Magna HiFi product page for the Red: Note: Future release will support up to DSD1024 / 1.5Mhz on I2S HDMI output. It's still there as of today.

I mean, of course the source must support 1.536 MHz over i2s, which the Holo Red does. The RPi4 does over USB, but I do not know of a single RPi4 hat that supports i2s at 1.536 MHz.

GoldenOne, I understand the May is both a R-2R ladder DAC when playing PCM and a Delta-sigma DAC when playing DSD. What do you prefer to play on the May and why? Edit: Any input is of course welcome, not only GoldenOne's. :)
