etymotics have smaller tips than th re2's ... i have owned both. The small tips on the etys are too small for me. All the double flange tips of re2's are slightly big for my ears. You can use the single flange tips but less isolation ....

if they are the same tips as the RE2's. I use the double flange black ones. They are just a little too big for me and do get a bit uncomfortable. The white ones are a touch bigger but softer so i find it quite hard to get them to seal in my ears and when they do seal, the isolation does not...

I would say any foam tips would be better fit than silicon tips. Foam tips such as the comply are compressed (by you) then inserted and it expands to fit your ear canal perfectly. So really the only better you can get is custom tips. The comply tips are very soft, comfortable ... and...
