Plugging an amp/DAC into my computer

Sorry for the delay. The amp is a Corda Move. USB-capable. So the motherboard or sound card should recognize this is a DAC and bypass it's own instead?

Plugging an amp/DAC into my computer

I now have phones and an amp/DAC. Where do I plug it to bypass the DAC of my computer? If I can't do that, then I guess I need to access the sound card's graphic interface and change it to some kind of bypass mode and then plug into the card. I'm a bit lost.

Probably a stupid question, but what do you all mean by "monitor" ?

A PC sound card to match my needs

Then the question is, are there or will there be Vista drivers for the AV-710, no matter what company does them? If not...then I'm cooked.

    PCs and HDMI

Connect the Xbox 360 to the monitor via HDMI. Connect the Xbox 360's optical output to your sound card if your sound card has an optical input. If not, connect the Xbox 360's left and right RCA outputs to your sound card's line input via a Y-cable adapter (two female RCA to one 1/8" stereo)...

    PCs and HDMI

So as long as my video card does DVI-D or DVI-I, I can use a special cable to connect the card to the HDMI connector on the monitor. Great. The audio, in the case, would simply come out of the sound card and into the speaker setup?

A PC sound card to match my needs

Great, I'll see to it to set it up with you guys Has Chaintech released some statement that they would provide Vista drivers for their card, in the 2007-2008 year?

    PCs and HDMI

Hi there, This may be somehwat out of range of this forum, so let me know if it's the case. I'll be buying a 24" LCD HD-ready monitor with the following connectors: DVI, HDMI, VGA, component video, composite video, s-video, and USB. HDMI marries video AND audio, and my Xbox 360 is...

A PC sound card to match my needs

I wasn't talking about electricity, but the rest, like the "ma" rating and such. If anyone can tell me I can plug in the 2.1 speakers in the amp/DAC itself, then good. Otherwise I might need to plug in the speakers in a standard speaker port on the computer...and failing having an internal...

A PC sound card to match my needs

A PC sound card to match my needs

What about the Auzen Sondigo Inferno? I don't do surround, or intend to in the future. I probably won't play EAX games either. I just want to listen to movies, music, and play a few games.

A PC sound card to match my needs

Hello, I'll be running Vista with DirectsX10, so I won't be using accelerated audio in the future. I'll still need an onboard (because I don't want clutter on my desk) sound card, mostly as a good DAC to run my headphones on. (I'll use a PenguinAmp as well.) Problem is, good DAC cards...

Sound card for Aria + AKG 701

I'll look up your suggestions, Sherwood What I'm intending to run is on one side some kind of basic 2 channel loudspeakers (they can plug-in directly into the soundcard, I don't care), and on the other headphones in the range of the K601 or something similar, and those would be plugged into...

Sound card for Aria + AKG 701

Thanks man. I know I won't be running the AKGs' sound quality to it's maximum...for that I'd need some insane setup, but as long as I can run them to...let's say, three, four, five times the sound quality of cheap 60$ headphones, then I'll have what I want. No need to go further and buy 1K+...

    AKG K601 + .... computer?

Don't speakers like Promedia have their own built-in amplification? I can pre-amplify them, just like a headphone? Wouldn't their output be outside the range of what's achievable for a can amp?

Sound card for Aria + AKG 701

The price tag attached to the K701 was what pushed me to instead aim myself at the more reasonable K601, but a visit to the Sales forum brough two instances of selling K701s in the first few pages, and for the same price as the K601. I'll go for that if I can. Right now I'm waiting on PayPal to...

    AKG K601 + .... computer?

You needed to step back? Yes, I want to run a PC (music, movies, very few games) and Xbox with the AKGs. I also would like to run a TV/dvd player as well...since I happen to have those independently of my computer. I'm sure 5.1/7.1 speakers are marvelous, especialy Klipsch's, but I do not...

Sound card for Aria + AKG 701

Thank you all! Btw HFat, I did understand what you said the first time, mainly that you could go with the onboard DAC or with a seperate sound card. Both were valid. At least, that's the comprehension I came out of that thread with. Sure, I'll use whatever built-in DAC I find in whatever amp...

Sound card for Aria + AKG 701

I'll be getting a 2.67Ghz-based system with a Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 2.0 for a speaker setup, and intend to buy an Aria DAC amp (or the likes) and AKG K701. My preferences for computer games are minimal. I'll be playing Starcraft II and the likes, some shooters, no racing. Mostly I'll be...

Hi y'all, Just posted over in the can board for questions on the AKG K-series, and I'm interested in a good DAC amp, stylish, preferrably used, to go with it....but the Sales board has it's own regulation for posters, so I must crank up my posts to 50+ and wait 30 days. /sight So what do...
