I unfortunately didn't keep my very first Beyer DT990, the beginning of my headphone journey many moons ago.

The serial number is 35xxx. And indeed made in Germany (were they ever made anywhere else?). Where does that number sit on the desirability scale?

Why would that be a good idea? I usually try to avoid posting serial numbers when selling stuff online.

I think you should be able to resell it quite easily. To me it is one of the best packages at this price point, and most comments on this forum have been praising it quite a lot. It gets the Naim house sound of PRaT just right, IMHO. I preferred it over significantly more expensive headphone...

My favorite combination of my 2020 Utopia is with the Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition. Great all in one box, very good looking, and fantastic synergy with the Utopias (coming from the same mother company).

Can‘t comment on the Newtopia but my OG works really well with the Mojo2, fed from a MacBook Pro running Audirvāna Studio. Sure, switching back to my main Naim HE makes everything better, but as semi-mobile system the Mojo/Utopia it is a lot of fun.
