DIY Yuin Pk2 on ebay ?
I just found this and came in to see if anybody knew anything about it as well. It's not so much the $30 but I would enjoy the DIY project but wanna make sure it is legit I recall last time I was looking at Yuins that there were counterfeits out there.- ViciousXUSMC

Hmm my HDP stand is white, I use the black aluminum shell on mine since most of my equipment is black, I'll have to see if I can track down how to dye it. Edit: yep here you go -...- ViciousXUSMC

Adding mic to open headphones ?
I velcroed a boom mic onto my AD700 and had no problems. The sound leaking is not nearly enough to pick up if your mic is set for the right level of gain to pick up your much louder voice.- ViciousXUSMC

Easiest way to convert .flac to MP3 while keeping tags and getting album artwork?
Why MP3?? Use AAC! I simply convert with SNG and then copy my tags over with MP3Tag- ViciousXUSMC

Ultrasone HFI-2400: Should you take the red pill?
Another Hfi 2400 owner here. My thoughts on the headphones are almost exactly like the person I bought them from (kesslerjesus) nice deep bass that takes the front over all the other spectrum. Good mids with pretty strongly rolled off highs. These are definetly not your "all in one"...- ViciousXUSMC

FraGTaLiTy's Audio-Technica AD700 boom mic Mod
Ooo never saw this thread before, but I actually did a very similar mod a few months ago except I didnt know about a nice low profile microphone like this one I used another headset as the donor. Im using double sided velcro since I dont always want it attached and I have more than one pair of...- ViciousXUSMC

Headphone and microphone (currently considering Razer Carcharias)
Nothing wrong with omnidirectional, I hope your using push to talk for speech and if so the idea of picking up background is not really important unless your like in the middle of a train station. If your willing to sacrifice your own personal sound quality that you are listing too so you...- ViciousXUSMC

Impedance question
Im sure somebody will give you a better answer than me but... The Impedance is the term used for the electrical resistance in Ohms. More resistance = Harder to amplify thus "lower volume" Thats the easy thing to understand, the harder part is figuring out why anybody would...- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
True the E9 is a capable amp, its just my opinion that not many people will be buying the E9 as their amp unless they have the E7. I guess time will tell how many people get the E9 on its own and how popular it becomes. The OP is not starting with the E9 though, he is looking at the E7 vs...- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
Quote: My point almost exactly. You have the line out on the uDAC but not the E7, the E7 only has line out when docked with the E9 thus limiting its usefulness and versatility. But who would buy the E9 to be paired with another DAC? I honestly think basically nobody. ...- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
I know you can read, I mean your not comprehending what I am saying. Its not a personal comment its a statement. Be it I am not explaining myself well enough or just your not reading it the way I intended. I have been up for 25 hours in a row now so I am not my normal self anyways :D- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
Quote: Your not doing so good at reading composition right now your taking things I mean as opinion and stating them as facts. When I say you cant use the E9 without the E7 I mean you lost the docking DAC the way it was meant to be used. Who here is going to buy a E9 just to have a...- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
I am very familiar with the product. If you notice how I stated what I said I did not say "it can not be used without XXX" I said "it can really be used without xxxx" really meaning it can be done but its not optimal. Instead of getting a nice line out its going through the headphone...- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
Quote: Well you say the uDAC-2 has no upgradeability and the E7 does but I disagree I see it more the opposite. The uDAC-2 can be a pre-amp due to its RCA & Coaxial outputs and go to any amp you want while the E7 is more or less forced to be paired with the E9. While the E9 is...- ViciousXUSMC

Headphone and microphone (currently considering Razer Carcharias)
I like plantronics products, they have done nothing but make headsets for like over 10 years, and they are still in business and an industry leader so that counts for something. I am against Razer on the other hand, I find they are like bose, monster, etc that you hear a lot of talk about...- ViciousXUSMC

Confusing DAC issue
Your TPA is kind of acting as a middle man, is there any way to go directly from your computer to the Buffalo II? That could help I would think. Likewise if not can you get Analog out from the TPA and skip sending the signal to the Buffalo. It just seems sort of redundant to have 2 DAC's...- ViciousXUSMC

Fiio E7+E9+L2 Worth the Price?
if your only looking to use low impedance i would think the e7 alone is more than enough. i have ad700 and a700 and my udac is more than enough. infact the amp portion is really doing very little its t5h dac part that is most important.- ViciousXUSMC

The "Lovely Cube" Headphone Amp (Lehmann Black Cube Linear Clone)
Ahh with lower grade parts I would not be interested. Plus only $10 for a finished board is a deal compared to the $89.00 kit. Most people that do DIY for you charge way more than $10 for the labor.- ViciousXUSMC

converted mp3's to flacs
You can do a high quality AAC encode to reduce the size, its lossy but if you use high settings you shouldnt notice any quality loss and still cut the size in half. Still getting a new rip is the best thing to do.- ViciousXUSMC
