I'd be interested to hear how this compares subjectively to the HD800S as far as soundstage goes. If it's in any way comparable without sacrificing the bass impact. I might have to look into it further.

maybe. but i'm pretty addicted to the wider soundstage that open backs have to offer. I'm on a never-ending quest for expansive soundstage and detail of the HD 800S but with bass like the elite has. If i could frankenstein the best parts of these headphones together, I'd be in audio heaven

I use my elites all day when I work from home now and, if I'm not on a meeting, I'm blasting music the entire time. I truly enjoy these headphones, but I'm thinking I'm going to have to let them go soon. Getting married next year and selling these would go a long way towards that expense...
