That 100% relies upon Sony, they currently have that locked down to only work with their own headsets. No 3rd party headset has access to the Game/Chat mix control, it must all be done via the consoles mixer.

PS5 & Switch are using the Wiresless USB dongle, to save the extra dongle, try using Bluetooth to the LG. Bluetooth has a lot more lag than 2.4 wireless audio.
