Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
The Edifier Neobuds Pro 2 finally support multipoint. Firmware upgrade took around 30 minutes to complete. Use an iPhone, because it crashes on Android!- regancipher

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Slightly disappointed by Creative's response to the multitude of bugs I encountered with the Aurvana Ace 2. Sent them a carefully-crafted video with narrative over exactly what was going on...low microphone volume on LC3, issues with aptX-adaptive where the codec constantly refreshes and drops...- regancipher

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Baseus have ripped off the Bose/Huawei Freeclip....actually, it looks more like the Ambie version that Bose and Huawei 'homaged'. Most of the Baseus stuff I've tried has been crap, but I bought it anyway as reviewing stuff like this tends to make for popular content. Will be interested to see...- regancipher

This is the measurement of the IKKO Activebuds btw. Reminded me a bit of the Soundcore Space A40 with their slightly muted vocals and weird midrange bump, only with much more emphasis on the bass. Couldn't really work out how to use the custom EQ without wrecking it but one of the presets did...- regancipher

Pretty much matches my experience. Sound is alright, certainly nothing to write home about, and was dreadful previously. Much better since the update. Using the little box is great for translation, not so good for chatgpt where, for my use case at least, mobile use is rather limiting let alone...- regancipher

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I finally got round to uploading my Aurvana Ace 2 review last night. Some ANC and call samples here if anyone is on the fence about them. At the same time, I didn't hold back on the issues I've had connecting with the app, trying to connect to the BT-L4, etc- regancipher

I like the Star & One. Its niche will probably go unappreciated given it has landed at the same time as the LM. Wish I'd got the white though, such a looker- regancipher

Reply to review by 'regancipher' on item '1More PistonBuds Pro Q30 Bluetooth 5.3 42dB ANC IPX5 TWS'
@tronth thanks! I added a bit more on the Air4 Pro comparison, including a link to my review of them. Both are very good, it comes down to your preferred sound and fit really as ANC strength and call quality are quite similar- regancipher

When I tried out the Ace and Ace 2, I much preferred the sound of the Ace 2. I don't think it's just AptX lossless that differentiates the two models - tuning sounded different too. Finally the Ace 2 are on the way. Hopefully they'll actually connect to my Xperia 1 IV without a hitch as the Zen...- regancipher

I think you can spend a lot less and get something pretty decent, but to get something particularly good you have to spend a bit more. 1More Pistonbuds Pro Q30 are great. Roughly $50, good ANC, Harman tuning, some customisation in the app. Wind Noise Reduction and Spatial Audio are usable...- regancipher

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I had to use one of the large sets of tips (which Technics recommended in the app fit test) to get the ANC to function properly. Usually I'm a medium, sometimes even small, so I recommend going through the tip test process- regancipher

I don't have the EA500 to compare them to unfortunately, only the EA1000 and EM6L. I did give Simgot quite a bit of feedback. Not quite a full review but not far off! I haven't tried the blue nozzle yet but it looks spicier from the graphs. No idea what the expected MSRP is going to be but...- regancipher
