Sorry for the late reply, I’m using silver filter. I’m pretty happy with this combination, though I am willing to give pink nozzle a shot with the Tennmaks to see how it goes.

Tennmak foams have been the key to make Semper’s treble palatable for me at last. They really make them shine with silver nozzle and blue filter. Highly recommended for sure.

Yeah, you may set 9038S3's hardware volume from your macbook volume controls, and set a max limit through its PTL function. You may still adjust the volume of your S1 via software with applications like BackgroundMusic (opensource) or Sound Control (commercial).
