Hi. I’m not an expert here. But I’m not enamored with the sound of my IKKO OH10 (not OH10S) build quality is nice and they look cool. But they sound closed… I can't explain it. Even with excellent amplifiers they don't make the music pop if that makes any sense.

That might work but I’m not sure how a downmixed Atmos track will sound on 5.1. I believe it a 7.1 feed with “Atmos spatial data” embedded in the stream. My guess it can sound pretty nice. I have not had a chance to setup my refurbished Apple TV which I purchased specifically for this job yet...

I think the answer is a combination of both. The iPad is charging the X5III which is why it (probably) not recognizing it as an external DAC. I wonder if there is an iPad OS setting to turn the charging off and therefore solving this issue?
