Very nice review! I felt exactly the same when listening to them. I also came across electronic music when trying them out and WOW! It was an unexpected but enlightening experience, I smiled because I was so happy with the sound. IMO the bass and overall sound signature of these is definitely...

Always Try Headphones Before Buying Them!

If I understood you right, I agree. I guess you will get more satisfaction by buying more things and slowly upgrading your system. However I also think knowing you bought the best suited thing for yourself everytime you listen to music with your setup will give you satisfaction over a longer...

Always Try Headphones Before Buying Them!

Can't disagree with that! For cheaper gear it's not really that important, and reviews can still give an insight in what you might get. Have a nice day!

Always Try Headphones Before Buying Them!

Well, that's rather impractical... But for the people who have the chance, even if they have to invest some time, it's better to test what you want to buy! :)

Always Try Headphones Before Buying Them!

I want to share an experience with you that might help some people avoid investing in a pair of headphones they don't like: After months of research, reading every review I could find, watching every video there is on YouTube I decided to buy the LCD-2C's. I was really sure they would fit me...

Hello again after a long time! Finally bought my set up a few days ago and I have to say I'm impressed... With good LPs you can really listen to music on another level of depth. :L3000: It sounds so organic and on very good LPs it sounds just like the bank is playing right next to you. Thank...

Thank you for the advice, I will definitely have a look at those forums. But at the moment I am really busy finishing my A-levels so I won't be able to get in depth with all the different subjects of analog music and I'll be leaving this forum for some time as well. Today I had a look at a full...

Hmm, I guess I'll get an extern woofer somewhen  Just found this video and there's no humming at all... I'm actually impressed by the quality considering it got recorded on a 100$ recorder and is a Youtube file. I might just go with the Pro-Ject TT anyways and it would definitely...

Thanks again for all the advice! I have another question regarding the JBL's, how is the bass? Sometimes I listen to EDM and then I want some good bass, would I need a subwoofer?

They usually added spacers to the RP3, the 2016 however doesn't allow for this... What are the specs I have to look for and compare on the TT, Pre and Cart?

Rega doesn't have tube preamps. Btw I'm everything but discouraged! I'm really looking forward to having a perfect setup for myself and I want to make sure I buy the best things I can afford. What do you think of VTA, I would definitely buy the Rega RP3 if it wasn't for the unadjustable...

Thanks for the reply. Good thing you told me about the piercing highs in the JBL's as I'm also sensitive to them... Any recommendations for Active Monitors in the same price-range? Edit: the DS2 is a bit out of my price-range...

Hmm.. I'm thinking about the Tube Box S from Pro-Ject. You can also roll the tubes and I think it's good enough for me. In the end I really care more about the music than the quality. As speakers I'm getting the JBL lsr 305 Mk2 also heard good things about them. When do you think of this setup...

Headphones for relaxing listening sessions [1000$]

I guess I'm confusing them. Will I get this fancy case with it, and is 340.- a fair price for a pair of new ones? Edit: do you think these are very different from the LCD2C, because then I'll just get both sooner or later?

Headphones for relaxing listening sessions [1000$]

I watched your review on the Aeolus and think I might just save up some more money to buy them! I really like the wood cups and the sound signature you are describing. What wood do you think sounds better, Sapele, Bubinga or Ziricote? Big problem is taxes, I think I'll have to pay like 200-500$...

Headphones for relaxing listening sessions [1000$]

The TH500RP is not available here, but I could get the A&K T5P 2nd Gen (looks like the Beyer T1). Is it any good and does it sound like the Beyerdynamic T1?

How would you describe their treble and highs? After reading some reviews I have a feeling they might be too bright/sterile for me.

What do you think about the zero dust fir cleaning the stylus? I saw many good reviews on it but I'm a bit skeptical. Have you tried it?

Is this the Nighthawk you mean: https://www.k55.ch/audioquest-night-hawk-carbon-offener-ohrumschliessender-kopfhorer-25-ohm-dynamisch.html ? The LCD 2C is actually my top pick right now, but I'm concerned about the weight...

Headphones for relaxing listening sessions [1000$]

I'm searching for open-back HP's for under 1000$. I've already asked people in my other threads but thought I might as well open a new one. I want them to be very relaxed sounding (e.g. no Beyer treble-peak, not too analytic) and they should be rather comfortable. What are your suggestions...

So do you think 7$ was too much? I think it is very cheap considering I used to buy single on iTunes for 3.50 a few years ago:beyersmile:! I was also looking at the Okki Nokki 2, as it was made in Germany unlike the newest model of them. But first I have to move, then I can really start to go...

I just bought my first record yesterday as I want to have something to listen to when I buy the setup. Got it for 7.-, and is in very good condition (from what I can see :smile_phones:) What do you think about record cleaning machines? I have a feeling they would give a lot of sound improvement...

Open, and with rather relaxed sound.(recessed highs). My budged is max. 1000.- if I don't buy speakers with it. I thought of the LCD2Cs but I am not completely sure.

It's not really big here as the people don't have time for such a hobby (and many, especially young people, don't have the attention span to really listen to music). But I think it'll come again, just think about what would happen if electricity was gone. Records would be the only playable...
