    New speakers, annoying problem

^+1 on the level check. Probably just clipping it since it only happens in the headphone amp out. What was your previous audio setup?

    Shaving, gents

Panasonic Wet/Dry Shaver gets the job done. Simply use it while showering since I need to shave my head anyway. Glad to have a backup Mach 3 though, for those times I forget to charge the shaver and it runs out of batteries mid-way!

Could use help, with a vacuum.

I used to always see these sold on Woot (before Amazon takeover), usually as refurbished, which didn't sit well with me. I'll second the fact that they do feel too "plastic", almost like you could pull it out of a McDonalds happy meal.

    car-fi

^ You make it sound like CARB is something new. Exhaust shouldn't be a problem, as long as the car isn't obnoxiously loud (95dB last I checked, which is pretty damn loud). At least those newer cars are turbo'd from the factory. You can be pretty stealth with mods to keep your warranty and avoid...

    Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)

Anybody build any firestarters? Favorite light that I never really use since I've got it running on a bunch of AAs is my 4D Mag converted with some Osram bulb. Run time is probably no more than 15 minutes at max, but I've got a regulated switch with different settings so its still got some...

    MULTI TOOL-FI

I've got a Leatherman Micra for EDC on my house keys. Never know when you'll need a nice pair of scissors handy. I think it was bundled with the Leatherman Kick that I got to have a compact set of pliers ... for you know, plying :P.    Anybody have a good TSA (Airline) approved multitool...

    Bicycle-Fi!

Waiting on a Lynskey Helix to come in... I'm still not sold on carbon fiber, though almost every bike has at least a fork, stem, or seatpost. It just seems too vulnerable to cracks from everyday handling. No argument that S-works (Venge?) is gorgeous, though.

    Headworn Microphone Suggestions

I actually had something like those logitechs (labtec) around my neck. Worked well, but a little sensitive on movement... and then the mic just crapped out one day. Thanks for the link to the Nady and Azden! The Nady looks sketchy though with the reviews, and I'd rather not fuss with an...

    Headworn Microphone Suggestions

Hey guys, looking for a good headworn microphone. Hoping for just the mic itself as I want to use it with IEMs. I'm trying to emulate the Plantronics Audio 480 set here: Plantronics )) Computer )) Computer )) .Audio 480 Headset I'd skip the hassle and just get the Plantronics, but the...

small mp3 player which used AA/AAA battery

Good info.. thanks guys. I'm feeling better about the G3 and V100 now! And kramer, I'm in the SoCal area, so a bit of a long way from you but I'll take your word on the V100's durability. I'm truly hoping it IS how you take care of the product, in terms of how long it will last...

    Sony's NEW MP3 Player - Nano Rival ? (NW-A800)

Does Sony support UMS yet, or do you still have to patch the player to get past that nasty bundled software...?

small mp3 player which used AA/AAA battery

How would you guys rank the build quality of the G3 and the V100? From what I can tell, theres are solid players, but can be hit or miss with getting a dud. Longevity doesn't look promising either. Cowon / iaudio looks to be a great brand when it comes to best bang for buck, but sketchy...
