Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
This is why I'm not a fan of the 660s, they munted the treble way too hard. They just sound wrong. Any "reviewer" that recommended them earned an unsub.- 498552

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread
Soundstage is what struck me as well, especially being closed. Bass is definitely more than my K7XX. Overall very happy given the price point. :)- 498552

Is there *really* an audible difference between different DACs?
Well i mentioned a JDS Labs Ol DAC, are you saying that's not a decent DAC? I use it with a JDS Atom and AKG/Beyer HPs so I have tried it with decent gear. ...and its not personal preference. I bought an Ol DAC and would prefer that to sound better but it sounds the same.- 498552

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
It's a shame about the build quality and lack of pads as they sound very good plugged into pretty much anything.- 498552

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
Thanks Mouseman, you're right though, I don't think I'm gonna risk it. lol The two Dekoni's I already bought nearly cost as much as the headphones themselves so I think I'm just going to wait until these wear out and buy a new K7XX.- 498552

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
The clear plastic parts on mine both broke as well. Seems to be indicative of the overall build quality of these K7** models. That said it doesn't seem to affect functionality at all. The problem I'm having with mine is finding original replacement pads, they don't exist. So far I've tried two...- 498552

Is there *really* an audible difference between different DACs?
I can't hear any difference between my PC's 1150 DAC, an Asus U7 MKII or an Ol DAC. For most people listening at their PC I would say don't bother buying a DAC. With easy to drive headphones I would say don't bother with an amp either.- 498552

Dolby Atmos for Headphones now available in Windows 10
I would like to know this as well as I'm thinking about buying a Myflower ARC which via USB only goes as low as 24/48.- 498552

Thanks. I didn't want to go to the extra expense or have another power cable with the multibit.- 498552

Does the modi 3 match the finish on the magni 3 or do you have to fork out for the modi multibit? Thanks :)- 498552

No worries. So you can change speaker volume via windows now? If so that's awesome, I might go ahead an order another ARC.- 498552

Can you post how you go with the OL Switcher, I guess I could order the ARC again and try that. Thanks for linkinking the Prodigy Cube, I'd never heard of it. Would love to know what it's like & yes it's a lot cheaper than the ARC. EDIT: Just a quick look at the Prodigy, it seems to be a USB...- 498552

Mayflower Arc
One of the reasons I returned it. Definitely needs pre-outs and features that cheap external sound cards/HP amps have. I changed to the Asus U7 mk II which has all the functionality that I want but unfortunately doesn't have the superior sound of the ARC. So crap how there are only 2 options...- 498552

Mayflower Arc
I've had mine for a few days and I'm using it on PC with Massdrop AKG K7XX's, a modmic 5 (Uni) and my old 2.1 desktop speakers. My RCA inputs are wired backwards also. I reported this to Mayflower and they say they've never heard of this happening before but I can get a replacement if I like...- 498552
