I received my Nightowl Carbon yesterday. Extremely comfortable as expected. One issue: I took a long brisk walk outdoors with the headphones playing, and there was a loud thumping noise that came through the music. Can anyone explain this? Is it the headphones or the cable that is producing this?

Ok, so you have both NH and NO. I have read some contradictory reviews. Between the two, which has stronger bass? Which has the warmer sound signature? Would you not recommend NO for classical music listening? Are the ear pads identically shaped for both NO and NH?

Thanks for the reply. I have B&W P7W for the office, and Beyerdynamic Amiron Home for home use. I am pleased with both. I just ordered the NH for listening while walking outdoors, which the others are not well suited for. At this price point, it is hard to resist.

I can"t address your 2nd question, but I am pretty sure your head comfort problem will soften in the coming months. In the meantime wearing a baseball cap while listening could help.
