It seems most unlikely that the main issue is with the headphone sockets. I can’t really imagine that a sane company would manufacture hundreds or thousands of these units and have them ready for distribution, then a week before the release date suddenly hold them back for ‘remanufacture’...

A good move by ifi. It’s bound to be of good quality especially at its price range. Take any mention by ifi of a release date with a pinch of salt though. Ifi have great value for money audio products, but their record of broken promises regarding release dates has become something of a joke...

Rather aggravating- they don’t listen to public opinion over 3D and XBass, but delay production over this minuscule detail (which could have been easily remedied with an adapter). Yes ‘it’s a DAC’ etc etc, but then why mess around with the headphone outputs... ... not nice to be abusive, but...

Some verification from Ifi Audio would be appreciated: are the tubes in the Pro iCan and Pro iDSD with the GE5670 pin out, or have they got the 6922 adapters fixed, so other 6922 (or similarly compatible) can be used?

The question is, though, what happens in years to Come when the warranty has expired?

Sorry, these won’t work as they’ve had an extra piece attached to the base to turn them Into NOS 6992, which have a different pin out. (Base can’t be detached)
