Are you sure what you have is a FXA7? The FXA7 uses a MMCX connector instead of 2-pin.....- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
The Nine0 is actually quite an impressive pair of IEMs. The performance of the Nine0 IMHO, is significantly better than what is offered by the SE215 considering they're in the same price range. The bass was surprisingly full and the sub-bass is pretty good, of course, the Nine0 wasn't delivering...- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
Couldn't find his initial impression but from his ranking and frequency chart, his pair of THIRTEEN6 looked imbalanced and quite notably different. Perhaps there's a reason why Fender has yet to further expand their availability on the custom models...? Don't necessarily agree with the 0 upward...- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
From the new lineup, I actually prefer the TEN5 over the THIRTEEN6. As I mentioned in my initial impression, THIRTEEN6 was for sure detailed, but the sound of it was a bit too sharp to my taste. TEN5 was more balanced in comparison but still the sound signature was still not as warm as the FXA11...- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
By the by I actually wrote a rough impression of the TEN5 and THIRTEEN6 on page 414, and I can find some time this week to write an impression of the entire lineup based on my memory from the Hong Kong Audio Visual Show back in August if you want to know more.- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
The entire new series from Fender has adopted the CM (2 pin) connector, excluding the ones that only comes with undetachable cable. The new series comes with a very different sound signature than the FXA sries IMO, and much sharper than the FXA series. After run in, the TEN3 shows much more...- ansonchc

Rank the IEM's you've heard
My personal preference so far: UE 6 Pro > Fender FXA11 > FXA7 > Massdrop Universal IEM > Aurisonics Harmony > Aurisonics ASG2.0 > Fender TEN3 > THIRTEEN6 > Campfire Andromeda > Campfire Polaris > Fender Nine-1 > Nine > IM70 >SE215(Both normal and Special Edition) > Fender CXA1 > IM50 > UE900s- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
Very true. At that price point of 6800 to 6900 HKD, I can simply pay less than 100 more for a pair of UE 6 Pro, which is CM and not a universal. I just wouldn't choose Fender under this price difference.- ansonchc

I think the pricing is kinda justified given the performance jump, but I think "huge" is an understatement to the pricing lol- ansonchc

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
I would call the FXA11 the almost perfect version of the FXA7, similar but also totally different from the ASG 2.0. While ASG 2.0 have a rather limited performance in the highs in particular, FXA11 is a significant improvement from it cuz obviously, the full amateur drivers are much more...- ansonchc

I've never heard the ASG 2.5 myself, but compared with ASG 2.0, TEN3 is really different from it. To me, I personally think that the TEN3's mids and highs are much clearer than the 2.0, but the highs in particular are too sharp to my taste.- ansonchc

It’s actually “Nine-1” but hey, you’re correct lol Gonna give the entire lineup a try this Friday and post something here though. :) I did posses bother the Harmony and FXA7 at one point, but FXA7 never felt sharp and spiky on the highs to me. I think like many other I’m complaining the high...- ansonchc

Well that’s interesting, I think you’re one of the first if not the first on this thread to comment the FXA series as having aggressive highs... Did you try contact for repair and replacement though? If you got it late last year it should be under warranty still.- ansonchc

Apparently the new PureSonic series is launching today, with the 9.25mm HDD in each of the two models starting at around 780HKD and available in both wired and wireless options. Looking at the updated line up felt odd though, cuz there's just a huge price and spec gap between NINE 1 and TEN...- ansonchc

I think the recent surge has to do with the price cut of the FXA lineup in the past couple of months, cuz at 2000ish HKD per pair, it’s a steal lol- ansonchc

Pretty sure they will have a much wider availability in the coming few months. But then again Asia is quite a big market for them so it does make sense they make it exclusive for Hong Kong and nearby regions at the beginning, just like how they did with the FXA11 at launch. For those who can't read Chinese, the two brand new Custom IEMs that Fender just announced are called "TEN 5" and "THIRTEEN 6" respectively. TEN 5 will come with 5 drivers: a 10mm HDD dynamic driver, 2 amateur drivers for mids and 2 a amateur drivers for highs. THIRTEEN 6 will be coming with 7...- ansonchc

What I mean is, that with the FXA5 limited to just 2 drivers, it is just incapable to deliver the bass that one would expect. Even as a dual BA drivers IEM, the FXA5 is a bit of a disappointment when it comes to the impression it makes, especially when compared with others with similar offerings...- ansonchc

I wouldn't really recommend the FXA5 if you're looking to purchase it. Given it being limited to just 2 balanced amateur drivers, it just lacked the juice to deliver a more detailed bass. If you're really looking into things that are in that similar price range, I would sincerely recommend you...- ansonchc

According to Soundwave Audio HK, Fender will be announcing the next gen of FXA series soon. And they're discounting the FXA7 and FXA2 in Hong Kong. Damn I'm hyped lol Wonder if that's referring to the two bluetooth options we've talked about previously though.- ansonchc
