I'd like to see these comparisons too, especially vs the DX220 ones. Though I think the DX150 with whatever amp module is the closer product to the Q5s based on price range and spec.

I didn't realise the M11 Pro has THX AAA circuitry. Now I'm in a dilemma.

I actually have an option to buy a Q5 off my cousin. Was planning to do that and get the AM3D. And then Fiio announced the Q5s.... My entry into portable audio was with a X5iii and EXii iem back in 2017. I've only known Fiio till May this year when i started experimenting with table-top setups.

I am contemplating getting myself a Topping D70 and preorder the THX789. But I dont feel like waiting till November to receive the THX789. Q5s+AM3D sounds like a nice alternative. And it is portable too!!!!

I bought the Z7M2 Bcos it was on offer (USD400). Personally, USD500 is my mental limit for this unit. At USD899, I'd personally would've bought a Ether CX. (I sorta prefer the "planar" sound). I was comparing the Z7M2 against the Z1R and the outlet owners own Verum One and Aeon Flow. I liked...

Based on the comments here, I suppose USD400 is a great price for the Z7M2. One outlet in my area is having a sale on them. I assuming my current rig of Topping D50+JDS Labs Atom is good enough for these cans.

A bit of noob here... I'm curious if anybody has experience with pairing the Massdrop Plus with the FIIO X5iii? How's the sound? Does it have that notorious background hiss?

I'm a noob to this hobby, so I apologise in advance if my question sounds silly: Can I get use an adapter like this: With my stock PM-3 cable, connect it to the balanced output of my FIIO X5iii and expect the setup to perform like a proper 2.5mm balanced cable?
