Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread
Just a heads up to anyone who uses the IOS Oppo HA-1 Bluetooth Control app, in case you are not aware this is a 32 bit app. Apple will be releasing IOS11 tomorrow and no 32 bit app will run on IOS 11. If you do upgrade to IOS 11 you will not be able to run this, I am not sure if anyone has...- michaellynn

Oppo Sonica DAC (an affordable ES9038PRO Sabre DAC)
The Oppo UK site for this (https://www.oppodigital.co.uk/Accessories_info_36.html) has a picture of the remote up and it seems to look exactly like the HA-1 remote (which is a good and bad thing, I hope it is different enough to distinguish between them for anyone who has bought both).- michaellynn

Oppo Sonica DAC (an affordable ES9038PRO Sabre DAC)
Not sure if this is a mistake, but in the What Hi-Fi review (https://www.whathifi.com/oppo/sonica-dac/review), they mention that there is an optional remote control for the Sonica. I have never heard of this, but if it is true, it would sway me to purchase the Sonica. For me, not having a remote...- michaellynn

Denon AH-7200
I got my headphones yesterday, mine came with a Jupiter black spot. As I don't normally purchase wooden cups headphone, I have a question for anyone who does, do you think this black knot is acceptable? This doesn't appear on the other cup and the surface is smooth around it. Thanks ...- michaellynn

Oppo Sonica DAC (an affordable ES9038PRO Sabre DAC)
Looks like they have started selling the Sonica DAC from the main OPPO US website. I got my invitation to pre-order it just now. Its a shame that I am in the UK and couldn't put the order in. I bought the Denon AH-D7200 Over-Ear Headphones instead :)- michaellynn

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
I found the answer to this was to reboot the Mac Pro (i too am running Sierra), whilst the Jot was connected via USB and this then allowed the correct settings to appear (after the reboot). Worth a try.. Michael- michaellynn

Strange, on my Jot, the maximum settings I can use (in the Audio Devices section) is 2 channels, 32 bit integer, 48.0 kHz- michaellynn

Just a heads up to anyone who isnt aware of this, but when I spoke with Oppo UK Support today, they have said the latest firmware is HA-1_1.4.3 After some shenanigans with this where they tried to send me a rar file directly via email (which gets blocked by spam filters), I was able to...- michaellynn
