Genelec makes excellent (active) speakers. I don't think you could find a new pair of 6010 speakers for €200 however. A quick websearch indicates that they are discontinued in our region too.

Never had the chance to hear the VDH, but the Chord Optichord is excellent imo. Very good soundquality for the money and beautiful buildquality too.

As far as I know the difference is indeed an improved (braided) cable and other earpads. The sound must be improved too imo, because the reviews of the Rev 1 describe a totally different sound than I experience with the Rev 2.
