I got my replacement a brand new pair sealed in box. They did send the wrong color I had black. I got the beige one. In all honesty I've only seen cracks in the black ones.

Its the hinge where it folds in it was putting pressure on the plastic. Crack is right above that hinge

Mine cracked and I did a warranty claim for it. I had a crack along the joint and my serial number was in that range They sent me a prepaid label fedex ground I just got my 1000x today. A brand new set sealed in box. It was the wrong color and me serial number is in the 5355 range.
