    Agree 100%.  I just bought a pair from a HF member, and wonder why I sold the pair I had years ago.  Much easier to drive than my Beyers:  DT 770 premium 250 ohm and DT 880 600 ohm.  I have a pair of happy ears!!!!

    I am still on the fence about whether the X1s can drive my Beyer 880s (250 ohm) effectively.  The X1s fits perfectly in my home office set up and I dug out an old pair of HD555s today that it handles with no problem.  Adaptability may win over power.

    I think I found an answer.  I changed the sound setting on the TV from HDMI Bitstream to HDMI PCM, and the optical out with the Modi 2 uber now works.   Bruce
