I personally have not had any crackling sounds. I haven’t heard anything that isn’t part of the game when using the headset.

I received my Penrose X this week and I only have a PS5 for now. It works as expected, including the Tempest 3D sound as that is done on the PS5 side before the sound makes it to the headphones. They sound phenomenal while I was playing Demon’s Souls!

So what are some equalizer settings people are using to optimize the bass on these headphones? Right now the best settings I’ve found for my ears have been the “Penrose Power Up Your Music” preset called “RoundAndMuscular.” Any suggestions on enhancing the bass from these for a little more punch?

Still no official word from Audeze to mention when the Penrose X will ship. Getting more and more frustrating not even getting an answer on shipping. I even emailed support 2 days ago and still nothing from them yet.

I haven't read the last few pages but do we have an update when the Penrose X will ship? The MS certification came in about 2 weeks ago and we still don't have an ETA on when the Penrose X will ship. It would be nice to get an update on these for all the people waiting on them.

So... When can we expect the Penrose X to ship? The reviews aren't making the wait any easier.

If they charge a customer and don’t have a clear cut date on shipping, it’s very anti-consumer. Charge the cards when the product ships then. Since they have charged, I’d like an answer when I can expect the product I paid for and not contact another company which I don’t have an order with.

They honestly should work on PS5. PlayStation doesn’t have any proprietary tech that needs licensing for headphones. All usb headsets should work on the PlayStation. Xbox does with their wireless protocol I believe. The Penrose X have a toggle on the dongle for Xbox and everything else...
