One month update on these, still loving them. Tried a few competitors against them but nothing beats them for electronic music. 

Still loving my 400i's for electronic music, good bass and great detail in the highs 

Wanted to update this in case anyone else finds it and it is in the same situation as me. Really enjoying the Fostex TH600s and highly recommend them. 

Got mine today, sound great! Do the custom shields come later or are they supposed to be in the package?

Just got some hifiman 400i's with a hifiman ef2a amp. Upgrading from 595s and I've never used amp before, always power them out my receiver. I plugged the amp into my usb but for some reason the headphones sound really bad when coming out of the amp. Even on full volume on my PC and full volume...
