I know. but for people that are on a serious budget, if they have a good motherboard, they shouldnt worry that much about dacs. but for me, I can literally hear hissing and I get a muddy sound. so I'd say get one because only enthusiast gaming boards comes with high end on board audio.

i dont think you should get a DAC. not unless you heard mud, hissing or even distortion. as I have an entry level motherboard, I heard hissing and mud. so I bought an asus xonar u5.

I think what works best for me are sony phones. their interface is beautiful to me and easy to use. compared to samsung, sony got the best widgets(not really the best compared to motorola) but for now? I love my blackberry passport.
