Thanks for the comparison. I've been looking for a new set of open back headphones, and I might pick up the Amiron Home as my next pair because I liked the 1990 but thought it had too much of a V shape for me.

I was thinking maybe up to $300 because I've been wanting some upgrades for a while. The treble has been fine for me so far so I don't think I would need anything too specific. 

Could you do a comparison of both? I've tried the DT1990 before, and I'm also pretty interested in trying the Amiron eventually.

Any recommended amps or dacs? I know it's easy to drive these but my ODAC died recently so I'm open to looking at another dac to replace it.

Would the Hope VI be a worthwhile upgrade from the Q701? I have the O2 + odac already, and the Q701 bass isn't as prominent as I would like sometimes. I prefer a more neutral sound, so I'm worried about the bass being too much on this set
