Assuming an ambient temp of around 26C / 80F, are we talking single digit minutes, double digit minutes or hours to reach temperature stability?

I've seen a couple of people post something along the lines of 'and the DAC should be left on all the time because mumble'. Can someone explain why DAC's should be left on all the time, and if this is subjective or objective (or both)?

Re Schiit offering financing... I think Schiit offering financing runs contra to their central message. I.e. Our entry level stuff might be all you ever need, we don't need to up sell you.

Aye, 100% agree. I use dbPowerAmp to rip to FLAC (for home) and MP3 (for phone). As it can rip to both formats at once, this works well.

Curious nerd question. Are the sources / controllers for each Schiit station Microsoft Surface tablets?   And does each tablet have music stored locally, or are you serving music from a shared location?   One of the things I love about the Surface tablet is that it is  'just a PC', so...
