Woo WA7tp vs Cayin iDAC-6/iHA-6 with Audeze LCD3
Hi guys, I own the WA7tp and roll with obviously limited set of tubes...I'm getting a bit bored by the Woo AMP and would like to go solid state-ish (I know the Cayin has mini tubes inside)... It feels like the LCD3 is not being pushed well to what it's capable of, and was thinking of getting a...- hyperism

Oppo HA-1/Burson Soloist + LCD3F
To preface, the LCD3f's are my favorite headphones so far. Really getting bored from my WA7+tp. Even after rolling the tubes, I don't think it's getting the best possible sound. Matter of fact my new Asus motherboard has a SabreDAC and it sounds better to me than the WA7+tp. So my...- hyperism

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-3
I have the WA7+tp and not super happy with the LCD3F. Any other recommendations? I want something balanced (the WA7 sounds rattled and uncontrolled at higher volumes). I need it to be punchy and push the headphones where it needs to be. I wanted the Oppo HA1 or Soloist but I'm not...- hyperism

Anyone using an iPhone 6s Plus (or any iOS device) with the Lightning to USB Camera kit > Woo WA7? I use it and play FLAC files without a problem. However, I'd like to know if iOS Is capable of pushing 24/96 to the Woo WA7 DAC? Apps I use for music on iOS: Apple Music TuneShell FLAC Player- hyperism

I have the LCD3 and HD700, had the HD650 but that's gone now and a few other headohones like Ultrasones etc (which are easy to drive anyway). It's not really choking, it just feels like the WA7 with stock PSU doesn't seem to push the LCD3 to it's capability. I play via Decibel from a...- hyperism

I am just wondering if something like this with mullards would be a better idea? Maybe I'm way off .... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rogue-Audio-Sphinx-100w-ch-tube-Hybrid-Integrated-Amp-w-remote-black-1395-List-/111828274534?hash=item1a097c0d66:g:nxIAAOSw9NxTscXr- hyperism

Mullards are $95/piece (real Mullards) So if you say they are similar to Mullards I'd rather go and save a little bit of cash. PS just got the WA7tp, so can't wait to give it a shot :) I like the footprint of these guys.- hyperism

So tp is definitely worth it...I see. Alright going to go ahead with that. I was going to go with WA22 + DAC since WA22 is about $1725 right now....- hyperism

I trust people here really appreciate the reply :) Like you said it's almost $1600+ (when you also add new tubes). If I also get a DAC that kind of defeats the purpose of getting something portable like the WA7. What Dac+Amp combo do you have? If I have to spend $2000 total I'd rather do...- hyperism

Awesome! About how much difference do you think it will make? Currently without the tube PSU the WA7 seems to "Choke" with the LCD3. Maybe when I get some money in the future I'll upgrade to something more powerful for the LCD3.- hyperism

About to upgrade to the WA7tp PSU (from WA7) + Mullard Tubes. Any ideas on what to get replace the Sovtek 6C45's with? I wanted to go to WA22, but it would be too expensive at the moment. I kind of prefer tube amps, due to their warmth, it's just that it needs to be super powerful seems like the LCD3 needs more power than what I have now :(- hyperism

Woo WA7tp upgrade or silver cable?
So it's definitely limited by the current solid state PS? If I get the tubes, do I need to switch out the Sovtek ones on the Amp as well? I just want to maximize the LCD3 by any means necessary. I don't mind getting rid of the WA7 and buying an Amp that pushes the LCD3 to it's limit. I just...- hyperism

I don't know but I've been using the combo for about a month and it just feels like the WA7 (without tp) is not enough to power this monster. It just seems like it chokes when I go to higher volumes.- hyperism
