Even though price was not a primary factor, its very appealing that I may be able to get more fun and enjoyment from a much cheaper option. The Verite open are just so gorgeous though....lol

At the moment I'm thinking it's between the Aeolus, Verite, Atticus and Empyrean. How "fun" they are is my first concern followed by fatigue. Detail is important but secondary for me and a worthy trade off if more fun(very subjective) and less fatiguing. I wish I could easily listen to all 4 of...

I think I enjoyed the DT 990 more often as I found the sound signature more lively with my music. That may be where I am remembering the fatigue from. I know they are cheaper and supposedly inferior to the HD650s though.

It's been a long time, I do know that fatigue is an important consideration though.

I'm concerned they may be too fatiguing Based on the reviews I have read. I had HD650s and DT 990s in the past both of which I really enjoyed but could get fatiguing after around 1.5-2 hours for me if I remember correctly. But I can afford to spend more now.
