Two things to try:   1. Make sure your card is formatted in fat32 2. put the card into the second card slot (the one farther away from the screen)    worked for me.

The only thing that you should feel/hear is a click on start up, if you shift the player and are feeling/hearing something moving around I do not believe this is normal.
