Most durable CIEM cable? (Ignore all other aspects)
You can buy 7 JHA stock cable with $200. Why bother? -
Onboard mobo audio, set up my home theater as a dac, or buy a dac? What is the best option for HD 598s.
I vote for buying DAC and AMP. I have a Gigabyte G1.sniper which has Creative Sound Core 3D DSP and DAC chip. Gigabyte say they really focus on sound quality of gaming series mobo. After using the mobo DAC with my speaker and AMP for a month, I must say I am disappoint. The sound is muddy...- TraverS

IM02 has good tonal. I love its mid, especially for vocal song, but the high seems some what roll-off. Not bass heavy or punchy for sure.- TraverS

I think bass light and punchy is not the same thing. I have a Ortofon e-q8, bass light but punchy. BTW Ortofon e-q5 got a great review from ljokerl and the ZERO audio earphones also got good impression in Discovery thread.- TraverS

I suggest you should add Ortofon e-q5 into the list. It's airy and bass light. I can't say the bass is punchy but it's definitely better earphone than Shure 215 and ATH bks77is.- TraverS

Best Smartphone for audiophile
I agree that Neutron is better than most player but I have to say that it still alters the sound. Have you tried AIMP? I think it's good too, better than Poweramp and maybe better than Neutron.- TraverS

Best Smartphone for audiophile
I've compared my Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Z1. The Z1 is bassier which doesn't seem so in gsmarena's measurement. Also that minor difference in frequency response will be overshadowed by player app's sound. Also Neutron and Samsung stock app sounds muddy and high is a bit roll off compared to UAPP.- TraverS

Best Smartphone for audiophile
In my opinion, that graph is non sense. That's not even a half dB. Can you even hear any difference in the change below a dB? How about you try eqing and see for yourself if you notice something, from the graph it's about 0.2 dB, I don't think any human can hear that. I can hardly hear any...- TraverS

Why did you say Z3 frequency response is not truly flat? If it's the player app, I don't agree; Walkman app is, in my opinion, one of the most neutral sounding player along with UAPP. Other players boost certain frequency and make PRAT wors, even Neutron.- TraverS
