I really like my k612 a lot, but wondered whether it might be worth buying either a vintage K400 or K500 on eBay for around £100. Has anyone here had a chance to audition and compare either of these with the K612?

As I am considering buying one of these three well-reviewed amps to use with my ipod classic 160 Gb via LOD L9 to my AKG K612 headphones, I would appreciate fellow head-fiers' opinions, however biased! I only listen at low to moderate volume, to all sorts of classical and jazz. I like clarity...

Hello I am not sure whether to buy these because I have read varying comments (including two from xeizo) which say that the Topping NX-1 will drive them fine/OK but not very loudly/not very well at all, so I would appreciate a quick response to my question this link says they work well...
