Balance L R channels in Foobar Help
Good to hear. I seek the same thing only with headphones. Are there any USB DAC/amps that have balance controls for headphones that you have heard of?- JediGhostdog

Balance L R channels in Foobar Help
Well, I'm not sure. I believe it all comes down to fine tuning and messing around with it. Honestly I searched everywhere for a while and it's too bad that this was the only solution I could find for foobar. Do you notice any change in the music with the equalizer plugged in at all? Like does it...- JediGhostdog

Yes it seems to be working for me, thank you. So if I leave the EQ at flat, than the sound is not being distorted any more than before I installed the Graphic EQ plugin correct? Thanks again- JediGhostdog

Ok thank you. From my understanding That EQ is always on. If it is set at flat is the sound being distorted at all? There seems to be an echoey sound. I would for sure try to use the Graphic EQ for the balance but not have it change the sound of the music at all.- JediGhostdog

I am using the HRT microstreamer. I use wasapi in foobar. Are you saying if i use Asio instead of wasapi I can change the channel balance? The microstreamer itself has it's own driver I believe- JediGhostdog

Balance L R channels in Foobar Help
I have found an equalizer plugin called Graphic equalizer as a temporary solution that allows L and R volume control separately.Raising the right channel 1.5 Db seems to work out pretty well. I will try out the that winaero link as well. Overall I wish there was a simple balance slider in...- JediGhostdog

Balance L R channels in Foobar Help
Yes it definitley shows up in Playback Devices and has the volume option in the Levels section inside properties, but unlike the realtek HD audio speakers on the asus. there is not a "balance" adjuster next to the volume. When adjusting the balance of Realtek it does not seem to correspond to...- JediGhostdog

Balance L R channels in Foobar Help
Thank you I will look into it when I get off work although maybe it has to be within foobar because the microstreamer acts separately from windows sound devices. Thank you for your replies.- JediGhostdog

Balance L R channels in Foobar Help
I believe I have problems with my right ear and it just doesn't seem to pickup sounds as well anymore. This can be annoying as with headphones the sound is uneven. I am trying to find a way to give a little more power to the right chanel in foobar with windows 7 but I am having trouble. I use an...- JediGhostdog

The HD600 is my second major headphone (previous MDR V6) Right now I am using them with the HRT Microstreamer and they sound amazing. Really smooth. I think the Microstreamer drives them just fine.- JediGhostdog

Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
I have been using the microstreamer with HD 600's and I have been very happy although maybe I don't know what I'm missing from not having a nice dedicated amp. Right now I'm good to go though.- JediGhostdog

HRT MicroStreamer
thank you. I actually use windows 7 but I have lowered the buffer length to 50 and I haven't heard one of those static explosions in a long time. The update to firmware may have been the fix or the buffer length I may never know. Maybe I will audition the Dragonfly because I hear a lot of people...- JediGhostdog

HRT MicroStreamer
I have also had some random static explosions that are very startling and sound like they could hurt my headphones. I reduced the buffer length to 50 and I am now trying to update firmware. In the instructions it says to check the usb viewer to confirm the update but I am not sure what to look...- JediGhostdog

Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
Do you think the microstreamer could benefit from an upgrade to an audioquest forest or cinnamon usb cable? The monoprice cable it came with seems pretty beat up as it was an open box deal. I haven't had any problems so far except for a few clicks and pops here and there but that is a problem...- JediGhostdog

Awesome thanks a lot. Yes I would be using it as a dac and amp or possibly have it go to an E11 and then to the 600s. Would pair with another amp down the road most likely- JediGhostdog
