The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
The nice man in the big brown truck just brought me my DT880 Premiums and man am I in love. Carrie Underwood is magic, jazz is incredible, everything is just .... wow. I had concerns about the bass but these are perfect for me. I'm not a basshead at all and the bass in these is present and...- twalker294

Fiio E07K enough to drive Beyer DT880 250ohm?
I am about to pull the trigger on a new set of cans. I have pretty much decided on the DT880 250ohm but I want to be sure that my Fiio E07K will have enough juice to drive them well. If not, would I be better off with the DT880 32ohm or the Hifiman HE-400? I had pretty much decided on the HE-400...- twalker294

I'm worried about excess bass with the Beyers. I have Fiio E07K DAC/amp and I would be afraid that won't be enough juice to drive a 600 ohm headphone.- twalker294

Do you have the velour earpads? Is it the pads that make them less than ideal or the weight?- twalker294

Sennheiser 598, Philips X1, or ???
I've just about decided on the HE400 but I'm a bit concerned about comfort. As I stated, I wear phones about 6-8 hours a day so comfort is very important. What is the comfort of the HE400s like compared to the Senn 598s? And HUGE thanks again for all the help!- twalker294

No I haven't. There really isn't anywhere around here that sells high quality headphones so whatever I buy I'll be doing it blind. How do they compare to the HE400?- twalker294

Thanks for the great suggestions. I've not really thought about buying used or refurbished but that's a definite possibility. I would love the HE400 I think so I might go that route. Thanks!- twalker294

Sennheiser 598, Philips X1, or ???
Hello there Head-fi'ers. I've recently gotten into the hobby and I'm looking to upgrade from my Grado SR60i. I am a very heavy headphone user, wearing them 6-8 hours a day while I work, so comfort is EXTREMELY important. In addition to my Grados, I have a pair of Etymotics ER4p, Klipsch S4i, and...- twalker294
