Need headphones for my elderly father
Alright. I'll try those cans. The Koss would look so nostalgic to my dad. The Superlux looks pretty decent for the price.- corporatetool

Need headphones for my elderly father
Hey everybody. I need the hive mind's collective knowledge. My father needs headphones. I bought him a smartphone and he's using it as an MP3 player. The issue is I'm stumped about what to get him. He's in his 60s and has always been a speaker man. We're talking about tube amps, floor...- corporatetool

Looking for a decent pair of closed-back headphones for a present, with some odd conditions... *PLEASE READ*
If she cares about looks try the JVC Flats HAS160. If looks don't matter, Sennheiser HD201 or AKG K512MKII. Can you use the gift card to buy another one? Buy a $50 Amazon gift card from London Drugs and go online.- corporatetool

I only wish the ear pads were easier to replace. The plastic ring separates from the pads if one is too forceful.- corporatetool

What makes a good headphone?
For me, it's all about replaceable parts. Sweaty drunks in clubs are always trying to break my equipment.- corporatetool

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
My old co-worker always used earbuds. He kept breaking them and borrowed my spare DJ headphones. He tried my MDR V-700, HDJ 1000, and ATH PRO700. Said they were too overpowering. Then I brought out the studio phones. Said my Shure 440 and MDR V6 were weak. He went back to his ear buds.- corporatetool

Urgent!! Sennheiser Momentum or Nocs NS900?
I own the Nocs NS900. The issue is I use it for DJ purposes. It's comfortable, loud, tough, and clear. I'll only talk about sound to save time. This is quite neutral for a DJ can. Nothing is too overpowering, so it can be used for everyday listening. The plus side is it causes less ear...- corporatetool

Can you dudes recommend me audiophile speakers?
Slightly unrelated question... Can you guys recommend a dedicated speaker and amp forum? I only see headphone gurus here. -
$200-300 budget, basshead, looking to upgrade from a pair of XB700s
I consider all those cans upgrades in clarity, durability, portability, and ear fatigue. If you want even more bass, I can only think of the Beats Mixr. They shook my skull & sounded unnatural. Here are a few so you can try them at a store. 1) ATH Pro700MKII. 53mm drivers. Punchy...- corporatetool

Bass headphones <250$
HDJ 1500 and HDJ 2000 have the same sound. Differences are weight, clamping force, and wearing style. 1500 is on ear while 2000 is over ear. Try the Beats Mixr if you want massive bass. They made my heart beat funny... Too bad they sounded unnatural.- corporatetool

Bass headphones <250$
DJ headphones. I can recommend a few since I mix. Those things are made for powerful and clean bass. They're also built like tanks. ATH Pro 700, Xone X53, DNHP1000, HDJ 2000, TMA-1, HD-25-1 II, NS 900, RPDH1250 or RPDH1200. They all have different pros and cons. Choose the one you like...- corporatetool

Looking for new cans
Hey everybody, I'm looking for some new cans. Something light, comfortable, easy to drive, and balanced. I'd like something between the size of the Momentum On Ear and Over Ear. $200 or less. Already have the V-Moda M80s. Not looking for the ATH M50s, too much clamp force. No for the...- corporatetool
