Massdrop x Focal Elex Review & Measurements
How does the Focal Elex compare with the Hifiman Sundaras? I've heard of quite a few Elex headphones breaking, but it seems to me that the sound quality of the Elex is heavily lauded. Would it be a suitable upgrade or should I save for a more expensive headphone?- tanjinyi

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread
Multi-flanged tips can probably help with the insertion, but I'm too scarred by Etymotic triple flanges to try them.- tanjinyi

The Fragrant Zither (TFZ) Reviews and Impressions Thread
I tried the TFZ series 2 from lendmeurears and it was quite decent for the price, warm and laid back, perfect as a gift to your friend. Though the soundstage is a bit cramped and bass lacks definition, it provides a good fit and has palatable mids that don't jump out at you.- tanjinyi

I got mine a few days ago, impressive soundstage and imaging. Much faster to receive than the delayed 789.- tanjinyi

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
I prefer the included sony triple comfort tips (the very thick foamish tips) to pair with the wf-1000xm3. Insertion is fairly shallow so I take a larger size than usual.- tanjinyi

Fiio M11 Pro $600 is coming - Will you Purchase it ?
Feels like the price jump is too steep for a DAP, compared to the M11. Furthermore, competition just heated up dramatically, will see how this one pans out.- tanjinyi

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)
Got a pair of Periapt XLR-terminated cables to go along with the Sundara, because the old cable kept gathering grime. Pretty decent, no big sound difference, but feels much sturdier now. I still can't believe the LCD2C was priced so much higher than this...- tanjinyi

Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
Usually for ATH pads I'd swing by their local office and ask them to replace it for me. Should be a fairly reasonable price.- tanjinyi

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
I'll check in with my impressions here since I never got around to posting them: Moondrop Spaceship: Sibilant upper mids, whenever there are female vocals, it grates on my ear and makes it feel uncomfortable, a fatal flaw similar to the Advanced Alpha headphones. Bass quality is kind of lacking...- tanjinyi

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest
The price of the BLONs this November is pretty good, it's a steal at USD26. Too bad the fit is atrocious and blocks almost no noise when you're in the train. Since the fit isn't as snug as other IEMs, the bass quantity is lowered to a level that I appreciate while keeping the mids and highs...- tanjinyi

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD
Hmm, Shanling seems to have pulled out the v1.12 update. I think they broke the DAC option on Windows in v1.12, it was detecting the device as a USB drive although DAC was enabled and you'd have to swap modes from USB > DAC in order to use it.- tanjinyi
