I think the Sennheiser Amperior would be a good headphone to consider.

I don't think noise canceling are the worst sounding headphones, but since they emit a white noise, it can, to the most particular, interfere with the music. I personally think the NAD's are the best for the price. But of course, its up to you.

As I mentioned in the previous post, I think the UE6000 is the best portable in that price range. Unless you want an on ear. Although you did have the UE6000's and sent them back, why was that? They are over ear (which is preferred by most), they are portable, they have active noise cancelling...

For that amount of money, I found the JVC HAFX1X to be very good. A bit bassy, but that goes hand in hand with the genres you enjoy listening to. Also check out ljokerl's review of multiple IEM's.

I'd recommend the professional's for a more neutral sound. The Momentums are considered to be warm.

I don't think so... see graph. Another option is one I included in the graph, the Sennheiser HD239. Another amazing headphone is the Philips Fidelio L1. It is slightly over your price range, but is probably the best out there for the price.   

I'd recommend the Logitech UE 6000's. If you are using headphones at all for traveling, the M50's aren't ideal. You mentioned M50s in your post twice, so I wasn't sure which one you were referring to each time. Please clarify. Anyways, feel free to ask questions.    -halfinfinity.
