These speakers are on sale on Massdrop. I already have LSR305's for my PC setup, but I need to start my TV setup. Would these be a good start?

Is there any benefit of getting the studio monitor over bookshelf? I know studio monitors play the audio more accurately to the way they sound, but what's the benefit of bookshelf speakers minus surround sound systems.

I can buy the LSR 308 right now but the Airmotiv 6 are out of stock and I have to wait till the Refurbished Sale just to buy a pair. My 2 questions are: Which is better? and Should I wait for the Airmotiv 6 to be available?

I live in the barracks and have people living all around me. I imagine the studio monitors will be enough for now, especially since I don't want people complaining and getting me in trouble. They don't have to be bass heavy, just a nice quality accurate bass at least. 

Well do you have any more suggestions for speakers around the $450 area? I really like the Airmotiv's but they're hard to come by. I always like to compare products I plan on buying. 

Thanks I didn't want to waste my time converting a bunch of files for no reason. I didn't end up buying the 27" monitor you recommended. I raised my budget up for speakers to about $400-$450. I'm considering the JBL LSR308's as my pick. Do you think they're pretty good.

No bueno on the Airmotiv 4/5. They do have the 6's for $500 but they're kind of big and may be too excessive. I went ahead and just ordered my screen so I'll probably wait a couple of weeks to call again. 

So I was trying to do research on these 2 series of JBL speakers but I haven't seen too many articles, opinions, reviews, etc on them at all? I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them?

That's right around my price range. I get paid this weekend so I'll be purchasing those speakers immediately. I have a roommate so do you guys think the K701/Q701 would be better for a person who's sharing his living space with someone else as oppose to the V-MODA M-80?
