So I was trying to do research on these 2 series of JBL speakers but I haven't seen too many articles, opinions, reviews, etc on them at all? I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them?

Try searching and asking questions over at the AVS speaker forum. AVS is to home audio as Head-Fi is to headphones. For example, they have an active JBL speaker owners thread.
