Broke the wire on my Modmic 4 at the strain relief point. Need advice.
I don't know why more people aren't simply kit bashing the koss adapters found on the GMR lines and instead soldering on the correct adapter ends for their can's in question? I overall have not been impressed with the quality of the modmic and everyone seems to have horror stories about the...- 8064r7

Review by '8064r7' on item 'Bravo Audio Ocean'
Longitudinal review. Personally had some early quality issues due to the group buy I purchased this as a part of (fabrication facilities were not ready for the increased demand) resulting in 2 RMAs for separate reasons. Shu Guang 12AU7 tube is a good affordable starter tube if you listen to...- 8064r7

Android phones and USB DACs
Newest version of VANIR 4.4.2 has enough compiled CM11 pieces in it that the USB Audio is hot pluggable and works amazingly. Tested it on both my toro and my hammerhead (still need to check out my grouper).- 8064r7

Audiophile MiniDisc Users?
Very excited that I recently completely resurrected my tough old Sony MZ N707 R netMD player. Paired it with my Bravo Ocean and output is going through some 668B's I leave on my bedside. Tonight I am listening through 2 MDs, one with Led Zeppelin I & II and the other with Led Zeppelin III & IV.- 8064r7

Blackberry Z10 + Neutron Music Player = excellent Sound Quality
Company I work for's upgrades they never used. I turned in the model I was carrying at work and upgraded to a 10 since they never use their solo ones, just a big group buy when funds come down the chain to upgrade all of the executives and managers phones.- 8064r7

Fiio E18
Yeah FIIO needs to just shut up already and take my money. Not like I really need an amp for the portables I use, but it does open the door for needing other goodies. Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk- 8064r7

Blackberry Z10 + Neutron Music Player = excellent Sound Quality
Yeah, early adopters exist so the price point can go as low as it needs to for my cheap but to pick it up. I believe my price point for mine was under $10 US new.- 8064r7

Blackberry Z10 + Neutron Music Player = excellent Sound Quality
Just picked up a z10 to be the new work phone since I needed something with a strong enough cell radio to push through underground. I agree that RIM did a good job on the audio for calls and music. Plugging a pair of Porta pros just into the micro port and everything is very crisp and clear with...- 8064r7

Android phones and USB DACs
We are a fringe market that is why it is so unpredictable across the numerous stock & rooted roms, kernels, and editions of the Android O/S. I had mine working for a while on 4.3, but it has turned out to not be stable so I went to other projects for my nexus 7. For portable music I will...- 8064r7

Taking Koss Portapro to the Limit (cool mods).
I like how the instant I figured out that I could get them collapsed smaller than what I thought was structurally possible, I misplaced the bag in the house somewhere. :(- 8064r7

I love minidisc - is that weird?
Love my mindisc player (an old netmd), and I'm always on the lookout for old discs since I've misplaced the 20 or so blanks I did have.- 8064r7

Now to only figure out what to use the bag that came with it for since the headphones obviously were never intended to fit in there easily. :-(- 8064r7

Fubar II DAC/Swan M2000MKII help
Drivers are critical for any piece of hardware. Do you utilize specialty drivers (MS certified or not) for an ASIO or other special output or do you use the ones that your PC suggests and installs from the MS repository? Linux/ Unix is another can of worms together, especially on the G73 (I...- 8064r7

Taking Koss Portapro to the Limit (cool mods).
Went ahead a realized that I had another shoulder strap from another bag which was smaller and not ever going to be used on the bag it went with again. Only problem was it was a solid piece without any way to open or close it so I had to dig out the hook and loop fasteners and scissors. ...- 8064r7

Taking Koss Portapro to the Limit (cool mods).
Was playing around tonight and decided to pick up a pair of porta pros since they were only $20 at the store. For the meantime since I'm very ghetto I've improved fit and comfort simply with a solid cable extension and a velcro shoulder pad from a tablet messenger bag. Will post a pic later...- 8064r7

I'd really dig into rootzwiki and xda dev on the tf700 forums because at first I didn't even get my nexus to pick up anything but thumb drives over my USB otg cable, even running community roms.- 8064r7

So I can't take any credit for the files as all I did was test it out on my Tablet and found out it worked without much fuss, but I did get my fiio e10 working on my Nexus 7 running android 4.3 outside of the CM world. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029728...- 8064r7

Well I actually have a nice contribution to go post over in the Android USB DAC thread now that I got my Nexus 7 usb and running with a hot-pluggable dac (Paranoid Android 3.99, Lean Kernel 2.2 (for 4.3 only), and the instructions from an easily searchable thread over on xda (not sure if...- 8064r7
