Functions im looking for include bass boost, a long battery life, compatible w/ iPhone 5. I have plenty of songs I purchased on iTunes. Is there a way to convert them to a flac format? Btw, does iphone 5 support flac?

Has anybody done a comparison between these 2 DAC/amps? I've been looking into getting the verza or the HP-P1. I would also like to know if there are other good DAC/amps out there that is compatible with iPhone 5 that costs less than $600.

Hahaha thanks for the info that clears up a lot of impressions I had. so really if I wanted the best sound quality using the E17, I would need an iDevice that uses the 30pin not the lightning for the L9 LOD or 30pin to USB cable?

I hear a hiss through my shure se535. Even if gain is 0. Plugging the shures straight into the headphone jack on my iPod nano 7G eliminates the hiss. im not sure what's causing the hiss from the e17. Maybe double amping? Or the DAC chip? I dont know how this works but Im using the LOD so im...

Yes I have listened to the nano without the e17 and theres no hiss.

Wow 3 headphones to choose from. V moda m100, beyerdynamics DT770pro, or Audio Technica ATH-A900X. I guess i would be considered a bass-head but which of the three has a good punchy bass for sub bass heavy songs but still have that amazing detail to separate that bass for more mid to high songs...

I can't seem to find that DT 700. I found a DT 770 pro. Is that like an upgrade from the DT 700? Amazon is selling the DT 770 pro 32 ohm but is that worth it? Those v-Modas are also catching my attention. V-moda m100 or beyerdynamics DT 700?

I've been looking into something like an over ear, it doesn't rally matter to me if its on ear or over ear. :]
